1916 Patent – Dayton Motor Bicycle

Patent granted to George Gorman of the Davis Sewing Machine Company. This engine was sold with a specially designed motorcycle styled frame by davis under the Dayton name tag, called the Dayton “Motor Bicycle”. The engine kits were later sold as the Davis Motorwheel and Smith Motorwheel.
