1933 Elgin Blackhawk

The Elgin Blackhawk was styled after motorcycles of the day. The “tank” had a door on the right side that opened up to allow access to the battery and room to store tools, marbles, frogs, or whatever else a young boy might have treasured in 1933.

The motorcycle design is evident in the 1933 Elgin Blackhawk, sold by Sears Robuck & Co. in the mid 1930’s.

Elgin speedometer was made by Stewart Warner, makers of instruments for cars, boats, airplanes and motorcycles.
