Stelber bicycles are very rare, but not because they didn’t make a lot of them. They were very low quality bicycles and few survive today. Some of the construction techniques are very different. Check out how the crank housing is made! These bikes usually had fewer spokes in the wheels than the standard 36, and it wasn’t to save weight either!

The unique bottom bracket of this Stelber bicycle is held together with two bolts that allowed for the crank to be removed. The bearing races are crimed onto the crank!
